About Spa Day Guide
Spa Day Guide reviews the spas, hammams and wellness centres of Paris, London and beyond: mission, testing method, editorial charter and commitments.
An independent guide to city spas
Spa Day Guide is an online magazine dedicated to spas, hammams, beauty institutes and wellness treatments, in Paris, London and new destinations as visits go on. The site publishes two types of content: We tested it reviews, each dedicated to a specific address, and Journal articles explaining treatments, prices and good practices.
The goal is simple: help everyone choose a relaxing moment that matches their wishes and budget, without relying only on the photos of official websites.
What the site covers
- Hammam and body scrub: rituals, black soap, kessa glove, benefits and precautions.
- Massages: techniques, durations, average prices, at-home massage.
- Facial treatments: protocols, skin types, recommended frequency.
- Beauty and waxing: oriental wax, manicure, pedicure.
- Gifts and events: gift cards, gift boxes, Valentine’s Day, hen parties, birthdays and private hire.
- Spa guides: selections by budget, type of treatment and occasion.
Each article can also be linked to a location (Paris, London, Occitanie…) to easily find the addresses of a city or region.
Our testing method
Every We tested it review is based on a real visit. Each review always states:
- The visit date and the treatment tested.
- A rating out of 5 for each of the five criteria: setting and atmosphere, treatment quality, welcome and advice, cleanliness, value for money.
- The highlights and the things to know before booking.
- Checked practical information: address, access, opening hours, price range.
The overall rating is the average of the five criteria.
Our pick
Alongside tested reviews, the Our addresses section features Our pick addresses: venues spotted by the editorial team for their strengths. These pages rely on verified information (official website, booking platforms, tourist offices), state when prices were recorded and carry no rating, as there was no visit. The badge on each page clearly shows its nature.
Editorial charter
- Published reviews reflect the experience of the editorial team, with no prior approval by the establishments.
- If a visit or treatment was offered by the establishment, the review says so clearly.
- Prices are recorded on the update date shown and may change.
- Every article is signed by an identified author, whose profile is available on the Our authors page.
- Errors or outdated information can be reported via the Contact page: corrections are published with a new update date.
