Who we are: our story
The story of Spa Day Guide: why this spa guide was created in Paris, who makes it and what drives the editorial team.
A guide born from a simple question
Where to go for a genuinely relaxing moment in Paris, without getting it wrong? The question keeps coming up, before a birthday, after a busy week or when choosing a gift. The available answers often boil down to retouched photos, lists of palace hotels or contradictory reviews.
Spa Day Guide was created in Paris in 2026 to fill that gap: a guide that covers the small neighbourhood hammam as well as the hotel spa, explains what each treatment involves and gives concrete price benchmarks.
Who are we?
Spa Day Guide is run by a small team of wellness enthusiasts, each a specialist in one type of treatment, who share their experience:
- Camille Laurent, founder, follows spas and hammams, writes most of the We tested it reviews and covers gift boxes, gift cards and couples packages.
- Inès Benali covers massages and bodywork techniques.
- Magalie Ergoz explains facials, waxing and beauty treatments.
- Laura Verdier brings a health and wellness perspective on the benefits of treatments.
Full profiles are available on the Our authors page.
What drives the editorial team
- Usefulness over superlatives: every article must help decide, with clear prices, durations and criteria.
- Transparency: visit dates, update dates and testing conditions are displayed.
- A range of budgets: a good address is not necessarily the most expensive one.
What’s next?
New reviews and guides are published every week. After Paris, the guide is opening up to London, then to new cities and regions. An address to suggest, a comment or a correction? The editorial team can be reached from the Contact page.
